oxalis Individualsoftware GmbH, Dülkenstr. 9, 51143 Köln, Germany, stores, processes and uses the data collected from the user upon conclusion of a contract (e.g. name, address, email address, telephone number and other personal data) in accordance with the applicable data protection legislation, insofar as this data is required for proper contract fulfillment. oxalis Individualsoftware GmbH does not disclose any personal data to third parties without the prior, express written consent of the user, unless there is a legal obligation to disclose the data.
Upon request, the user may participate in our email newsletters. The user is specifically informed that their email address will be used for this purpose. The user may revoke their consent at any time in writing (e.g. by email) without incurring any costs, apart from the costs of transmitting the revocation (at base rates). In every communication and newsletter we send, the user is given the opportunity to decline further information and to submit a corresponding revocation.
oxalis Individualsoftware GmbH is aware of its responsibility for data protection and has taken extensive organizational and technical measures to protect the data processed within the scope of contract management. These measures ensure, for example, that confidential data cannot be viewed or altered by unauthorized parties during transmission over the Internet.
oxalis Individualsoftware GmbH employs current technical and organizational security measures to protect the entered data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or access by unauthorized persons. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments. Furthermore, all our employees and service providers are bound to data secrecy in accordance with § 5 BDSG (German Federal Data Protection Act).
Your data is stored exclusively on our European servers.
Client-Side Security Measures
To prevent our high security measures from being circumvented by unauthorized manipulation, technical precautions must also be taken on the client side. If you suspect that you have become a victim of cybercrime, please have your account blocked immediately. Blocking can be done by phone (+49(0)221 99 88 99 60) or within the application. The following rules will increase the security of your system:
- Only install software from reputable sources on your computer.
- Always use an up-to-date version of your internet browser.
- Use the security options of your browser and, in particular, disable the automatic use of ActiveX controls and Java applets.
- Use an antivirus program that you keep constantly updated, and a firewall to prevent unwanted connections to your computer.
- oxalis ensures that your data is only transmitted via encrypted connections (SSL). Only enter your login information when you are certain that you are actually on the protected oxalis website (
https://***.oxalis.deorhttps://***.oxalis.cologne). - Protect your access credentials (user ID, password) from unauthorized access. Never disclose your access credentials to a third party.
- oxalis will never contact you by email to ask for your personal access credentials. If you receive emails with such content, they are not from oxalis and should be deleted.
- Choose a secure password. oxalis requires a secure password that is at least 15 characters long.
- Use the configurable two-factor authentication feature.
- When choosing a password: length is even better than special characters. Both together is ideal. Simple words that can be found in a dictionary are off-limits. Therefore, choose long passwords that cannot be guessed by simply trying all entries in a dictionary.
