Development and operations from one source
Many agencies hand over a package after the project and are gone. Operations end up with a hoster who does not know the application, or with your IT department, which has other priorities. We do it differently: the applications we build, we also operate on request. The same developers who know the code see monitoring, logs and backups.
That pays off when something happens. An error at 7 a.m. is not reported to a ticket system but read by someone who knows which query is behind it.
What operations include at oxalis
- Infrastructure in data centres in Germany and Europe, with providers under European law.
- Monitoring of availability, response times, storage and error rates, with alerts to us.
- Backups daily or more often, encrypted, regularly tested for restoration.
- Updates for operating system, database and runtime, coordinated with you.
- Security: TLS, access control, tenant separation, logging.
- A named contact with a phone number and agreed response times.
We operate PostgreSQL and Go applications, Vue.js and Flutter front ends, as well as Oracle APEX applications. More on the technology page.
Data sovereignty is not a marketing term
European hosting means three things to us. First: your data sits with providers subject exclusively to European law. Second: you receive a data processing agreement that fits your privacy policy. Third: nothing about our operations ties you to us. Code, database and configuration belong to you and run on standard technology. If you want to move, we help.
With potpuri.eu we have operated a workplace health management platform for years, on which employees enter personal information. That only works with an infrastructure the clients’ data protection officers trust.
Who this is for
Companies that have or are getting a custom application and do not want to run it themselves. Business departments that need one contact who understands both the application and the infrastructure. Organisations where data protection is non-negotiable: health data, HR data, public-sector data.
