Oracle APEX since 2005: our core business in the Oracle world
Oracle Application Express is not a side product for us. Since 2005 it has been the tool we use to build business applications for insurers, utilities, public administration and mid-sized companies. Before that, from 1998, we worked with Oracle Forms, Designer and PL/SQL. That depth in data modelling and in the database is what sets us apart from agencies offering APEX as one of twenty tools.
Two of our references have been in production on APEX for years: the time-tracking system TeamTime and the commercial suite oxalis Unique. Both show what APEX is good at: large data volumes, fine-grained permissions, reports and workflows that run in the browser without any client installation.
What we do for you
New development. We design the data model and the application together with your domain experts. Business logic lives in PL/SQL packages, the user interface in APEX. That keeps the application maintainable even when UI technologies change.
Extension and takeover. Many APEX applications have grown over years and the original developer is no longer available. We take over such applications, document them and keep developing them. No rebuild, no downtime.
Upgrades. Old APEX versions often run on databases that are dropping out of support. We bring application and database to a supported level and use the opportunity to modernise themes and pages.
Operations and support. On request we look after your APEX application permanently: troubleshooting, small enhancements, monitoring. You talk to the same developers who know the code.
How we work
You talk directly to the developers, not to a project manager in between. We clarify requirements in short sessions with your business departments, and you see progress continuously in a test environment. We use AI tools for code generation, tests and reviews; design and responsibility stay with experienced engineers.
When APEX is no longer enough
Not every application should stay on APEX forever. If Oracle licence costs weigh on you or you want more independence, we show you the path to an open stack: PostgreSQL, Go, Vue.js or Flutter. With EasyFlow Business we have taken exactly that path ourselves, migrating a mature APEX application to open source. Read more on the PostgreSQL migration page.
